About Veneta
Incorporated in 1962, the City of Veneta is a thriving community of nearly 5,000 people. The City of Veneta is located 12 miles west of the Eugene/Springfield Metropolitan Area, in the southwest corner of the beautiful Willamette Valley in Lane County, Oregon. Located at about 420 feet above sea level, the City receives between 45-50 inches of precipitation a year, and is home to an area of many wineries. Veneta is located in close proximity to the Fern Ridge reservoir – a great place for birding, sailing, and canoeing activities, and is only 45 miles from the Pacific Ocean and 90 miles from the scenic Cascade Mountains.
